Dear All,

I don't know how many of you know, but I have been in ICU for over 10 days fighting COVID. Thank you for your prayers and your patience as I continue to battle this disease with the help of the Lord. I have been released home but I am not 'out of the woods' they say. The next 10 days are considered crucial in determining whether I recover or relapse. I had no prior conditions but have sustained complications including heart, brain, lung damage. I currently need a machine to breathe. Signficant recovery is expected to take 16 weeks but as you can see, God is at work, and I am here able to get CA ready (albeit late). I love you all. I know many of you are praying - with all my heart, thank you.  Dr. Lyndsey

This week and next I will extend the deadlines to give as much time as needed for you to complete the videos and assignments. Obviously, I apologize for the delay and inconvenience and pray the material in CA continues to bless you, inform you and inspire you to lead well.

Home work Assignment:

Dr. Maupin talks about the Crucible this week. Mark Worley (Compass Elder) talks about facing the onslaughts of the evil one. Both talk about why pastoral leadership is worth it. Your homework this week is to prayerfully and carefully come up with a scripture, a story, a reasoned logic....for 'sticking and staying' - for having courage in the face of resistance as we encounter opposition as leaders and share it with the group on the Leadership Forum. (

This is first intended to strengthen your own resolve and foundation. It is secondly to strengthen and edify your peers.

We love you.
